Andrew Mackenzie

Andrew is CEO of Shirlaws Australia. He joined Shirlaws in 2001 and coaches clients across a range of industries including Financial Services, Legal, Real Estate, IT&T, International Trade and Human Resources.

In late 2005 he relocated to Auckland, New Zealand with his young family in order to formally establish and grow the Shirlaws business there. In 2007 he moved back to Australia and took on the role of CEO there.

His strengths in coaching come from his uncanny ability to cut to the core of the issues facing a business. He thinks laterally, asking questions to challenge old assumptions, open up possibilities and renew energy in a business. He is courageous, funny and honest. He is able to empathise with his clients because he understands first-hand the pressures and joys of owning his own businesses.

Andrew is often called on to make formal presentations or facilitate strategic meetings, and he has a rare capacity to manage the energy of a group while communicating ideas and providing new frameworks for making decisions.
