Chris Pezzimenti
Chris is a Business Coach in the Australian business who is most suited to working with dynamic management teams, executive management and business owners. He joined Shirlaws in April 2002 and coaches businesses in a variety of industries including Human Resources, Financial Planning, Automotive, Manufacturing, Legal, Hospitality, IT, and Building. Chris has a variety of experience and practical skill in general management, human resource management, communication and sales.
Prior to joining Shirlaws, Chris’ career has included a diverse range of small to medium sized business ventures, as well as being the General Human Resources Manager for one of Australia’s largest automotive dealership groups as well as project management roles within the property & asset management industry.
Chris sees his greatest career challenge, and greatest success, as when running the Human Resources Department, he oversaw the convergence of two established cultures when an international automotive group acquired the one he was currently working in. Working closely with the new management team, Chris was charged with the task of managing the associated issues of a strong corporate culture merging with an existing family culture that was built over 50 years. This involved various change management programmes, training programs, cultural activities and staff consultation to ensure a now burgeoning workforce of 800+ were comfortable with the new corporate structure. It also lead to Chris being installed as the Group HR Manager responsible for more than 10 dealerships, service outlets and distribution centres along the Eastern Seaboard of Australia.
After 7 years in the automotive industry, Chris spent 3 years fulfilling management consulting contract work with a view to establishing a business coaching business. A chance meeting with a Shirlaws coach at the time demonstrated that he could get into the coaching industry in Australia in its infancy and has never looked back.
With a flair for getting to the core of issues quickly, Chris’ coaching style is focused on matching strategic plans with implementation activities so as to ensure people & businesses shift in the right direction at the right time.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Business with double majors in International Trade and Human Resources Management. He is married with a son and a daughter and loves nothing more than spending time travelling within Australia and overseas, playing most sports or relaxing in front of a movie.
