Tim Ryan

Tim joined Shirlaws in early 2007.  His clients value his innate ability to simplify seemingly complex business issues and help them build a solution all the way through to implementation. Tim is also known for his high ethical values and strategic thinking and was appointed to the board of Shirlaws Australia after only six months in the business.

Tim brings over 25 years of practical business experience to his role as Coach and Business Builder in the Newcastle Region.  He launched Data Cabling Solutions in Newcastle in 1990.  The business enjoyed year-on-year growth exceeding 25% per year throughout the 1990's. Data Cabling Solutions was considered a leader in the growing communications cabling industry and was renowned for its quality, documented business process, staff retention and customer satisfaction. Data Cabling Solutions had a staff of 45 when Tim sold it to Chubb Security in 2000. Tim subsequently worked as Business Development Manager with Chubb in Newcastle until 2005, and then spent 2006 driving around Australia with his wife Cath and their four children, in a motor home that had to be seen to be believed.

Tim is a keen surfer and was President of the Merewether Surfboard Club during its four-year reign as Australian Champions from 1987 to 1990.
